Mrs Cecilia Aqua Umoren
MRS. CECILIA NKEOMA AQUA-UMOREN LLB, BL PhD(h.c.) Is an accomplished lawyer with over 40 years experience in the legal and corporate field. She is currently the Executive Chairman of Millenium Oil and Gas Company Limited, Operators of Oza marginal oil field, Niger Delta, Nigeria.
She was the principal/founding partner of the law firm Cecilia Okafo & Associates (now Sapphire Partners), a full service corporate and litigation firm, where she gained a wealth of experience in international transactions and local legal practice. The firm represented many foreign companies in a range of matters both legal and commercial and advised them on various areas of law practice including contractual, regulatory and policy issues.
Mrs. Aqua Umoren was one of the pioneer legal practitioners of Telecommunications in Nigeria. She acted as external solicitor to Nigeria Telecommunications Limited (NITEL) and represented NITEL in its first major telecommunications Joint Venture, Mobile Telecommunications System (MTS) where she was eventually appointed Company Secretary. She also served on the Federal Government of Nigeria Ministerial Committee to implement the Open Skies Agreement for the Aviation Sector.
She was part of the group of professionals that set up Emerald Energy Resources Limited, an indigenous Oil and Gas Exploration and Production company where she took up employment in 2001 as a founding Executive Director after the company was awarded an oil block through open competitive bidding in 2000.
Mrs. Aqua Umoren has a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, Barrister at Laws (BL) from the Nigeria Law School, Lagos and a Masters in Comparative Law Degree from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas, USA (1983). She was also recently awarded an honorary doctorate degree by London Commonwealth University in recognition of her leadership roles.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of Waltersmith Petroman Oil Limited and Emerald Energy Resources Limited. She is also a member of the Board of Governors of Petroleum Club Lagos and Chairman, Board of Trustees of Women In Energy Network Nigeria.
She has attended several executive and managerial courses and she is an alumnus of Havard Business School’s Women’s Leadership Forum. She is involved with several charity organizations and is a Past President and member of the Board of Trustees of International Women’s Society.

Mrs.Catherine Ashenuga-Farrer
Catherine Ashenuga-Farrer holds a BA (Honours) degree in Economics from the University of Reading in England. She is a member of the Securities Institute in England and Wales. Catherine started her career as a Private Banker at Barclays Private Bank in London, UK, where she managed a portfolio of Private Banking Clients on the West African Team. She provided wealth management services and advised private clients on business strategy and fiduciary services. Catherine’s area of expertise was in International Business Development, particularly in the Energy Sector in West Africa.
Catherine left Barclays Private Bank to set up Trennco Power Limited, an independent private sector energy company in Nigeria. Her entrepreneurial drive and passion for developing the energy sector in Nigeria have seen her grow Trennco Power into an EPC company that provides Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services in the Transmission sector in Nigeria, developing critical parts of this important segment of the power supply chain. In her role as founder and CEO, Catherine oversees strategic business development projects and new market expansion for Trennco. Trennco Power works with the Federal Government of Nigeria’s Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), and they are engaged in the deployment of 132KV transmission projects across the country.
She is passionate about positively transforming the Power infrastructure sector in Nigeria and she has set up Trennco Towers and Steel – ‘TTS FZE’ (Trennco Power’s Subsidiary) as a major backward integrated project within the transmission sector that will have a significant and lasting impact on the Nigeria power supply chain and change the transmission infrastructure landscape in the country. Catherine is a member of Women in Energy in Nigeria (WIEN) and is a passionate advocate for seeing more women in the power and energy space.
Catherine is also a strong advocate for the inclusion of more renewable and sustainable methods in developmental housing projects, and she has just recently developed a pilot commercial property off the coast of Lagos that utilizes solar power and employs other sustainable systems. Her speaking engagements include the recently concluded EMWA Conference in Lagos, Nigeria, where she spoke on Power Infrastructure Development as a catalyst for real economic growth in Nigeria.
In her spare time, Catherine enjoys playing chess, discovering new countries and cultures, and is presently learning to speak French.

Ms Ann Norman
Ann Norman is an executive in the public relations, investor relations and public affairs sectors. Leveraging her network and work in investor relations on Wall Street has positioned her as a driving force for foreign direct investment into Africa, where she has become well known for her work in the energy sector.
Ms. Norman has been sharing her time between Africa and the U.S. for nearly two decades. She has been instrumental in introducing U.S. companies into African markets across many sectors. Clients she has launched to African markets include Forbes Afrique, Pioneer Energy and Virtual Pharma Rep. She led public relations efforts for Sierra Leone’s blood diamonds campaign, as well as other efforts to reform and build the domestic communications sector in the post conflict nation. Ms. Norman played an important public relations role helping pass South Sudan’s referendum vote for independence in 2011, and has been a key member of the negotiation team handling communications efforts in peacebuilding efforts during the conflicts facing that nation.

She brings a unique knowledge and working experience of financing and investment mechanisms for energy projects to emerging African markets. She has successfully worked with both private sector banks, as well as development institutions to bring financing and funding for infrastructure and energy programs throughout Africa. Ms. Norman is a member of the Board of Advisors at The Africa Energy Chamber, where she serves on the committees for Natural Gas and US Africa Relations. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors for Trennco. She is passionate about archeology and preserving history, and she serves as the grant manager for the Utah Rock Art Research Association, an institution dedicated to the archaeological preservation of rock art. She is fluent in French.

Mr Babatunde Fajemirokun
Mr. Babatunde Fajemirokun is the Managing Director and CEO at AIICO Insurance PLC, a position he has held since August 14th, 2019. With decades of professional experience cutting across management consulting, insurance, and asset management, he joined AIICO Insurance PLC, Life Insurance Division in May 2009, and was responsible for value-enhancing projects in its maiden growth strategy, business process and technology transformation projects. Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director, he held roles that were responsible for key strategic and operational functions across the business. He was Divisional Head Operations & Technology (2009-2013), Chief Operating Officer (2013-2017) and Group Chief Business Officer (2017-2019).
Babatunde started his career in academia in 2001, as a visiting lecturer in the Department of Economics & Enterprise at Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland. He worked with Accenture, Lagos (2003 – 2007), and then Capgemini Consulting, UK (2008 – 2009). In his management consulting roles, Babatunde provided consulting/advisory services to Financial Services (banking and insurance) and Government Clients, predominantly in mergers and acquisitions, and then United Kingdom Government transformation programs.
He also has external appointments as a Non-Executive Director in Food Concepts Plc and Xerox Corporation Nigeria (XHS). Babatunde is a Fellow of the Society of Underwriting Professionals (FCII), Chartered Insurance Institute UK, and a Chartered Insurer, and has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Business Information Strategy Master’s degree (dist.) from the University of Strathclyde, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics from Glasgow, UK

Engr Denis Ukwueze
Engr. Denis Ndubuisi Ukwueze is a prominent energy sector leader and a Director at Trennco Towers and Steel. With a rich background in engineering and business, he plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s transformative initiatives in the power industry.
Equipped with a B.Sc in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Engr. Ukwueze’s commitment to excellence is underscored by his memberships in esteemed organizations, including the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the Nigerian Institute of Power Engineers.
His dynamic career spans 36 years with the National Electric Power Authority/Power Holding Company of Nigeria/Transmission Company of Nigeria. Serving as the Executive Director of Transmission Services Provider (TCN) in 2013, his expertise further shone as a consultant to the House of Representatives Committee on Power and the Transmission Company of Nigeria.
Engr. Ukwueze’s impact reaches across borders as a technical auditor for international projects, and his passion for sustainable practices is evident through his involvement in innovative energy methodologies. Beyond his professional endeavors, he’s an avid football enthusiast. His leadership and dedication continue to guide Trennco Towers and Steel toward pioneering advancements in the energy landscape.
